Trip to Macao 26 Dec 2007

All u can think about Macao ... nothing else... their CASINO...

we only have 4-5 hours there ... we didn't get to do much.. but we visited the THE VENETIAN - MACAO. Thanks to my high school mate, Chu Ai who staying there now with her family.. recommended me that i have to visit this giant size casino! Our genting ... really don't means anything when u go there!

The Venetian Macao is a casino resort in Macau, China owned by the Las Vegas Sands hotel-casino chain. The Venetian is a 40-story, $1.8 billion anchor for the 7 resort hotels which are under construction on the Cotai Strip in Macau. The 10,500,000-square-foot (980,000 m²) Venetian Macao is modeled on its sister casino resort – the The Venetian in Las Vegas – and is the largest single structure hotel building in Asia and the second-largest building in the world.

The main hotel tower was finished in July 2007 and the resort officially opened on August 28, 2007.[2] The resort has 3000 suites, 1,200,000 square feet (111,000 m²) of convention space, 1,600,000 square feet (149,000 m²) of retail, 550,000 square feet (51,000 m²) of casino space – largest in the world – with 3400 slot machines and 800 gambling tables and a 15,000 seat arena for entertainment/sports events.

7 habits of the highly effective man

I got this email from my sister and I thought it is so funny...but the logic behind is true!

Subject: 7 habits of the highly effective man

Steven Covey's famous 7 habits for successful people are nothing more than a free adaptation of Hokkien phrases. So why pay thousands of dollars to listen to ang-mohs like him when your parents, wives, husbands, and even the auntie-auntie who sweeps the floor, can give you that kind of advice everyday?

Habit No 1: Be Pro-Active
-- Kin Ka Kin Chiew (fast leg, fast hand)

Habit No 2: Begin with the End In Mind
-- Ooh Tao Ooh Buay (have head, have tail)

Habit No 3: First Things First
-- Chik Hung Chik Hung Lai (one thing at a time);
Ban Ban Lai (slow and steady); Cho Tow Seng (do first)

Habit No 4: Think Win-Win
-- Long Chong Ai! Yarh (want to win in everything)

Habit No 5: Seek To Understand Rather Than To Be Understood
-- Cho Lang Ai Beng Pek (you must be understanding)

Habit No 6: Synergize
-- Tai Kay Ai Hup Chork (all must co-operate)

Habit No 7: Sharpen the Saw
-- Toh Bua Lai Lai (sharpen the knife until it is very sharp)

Don't take life for Granted - Life is Fragile

to all my friends and people I love...

4 Jan 2008 is a day to remember for me and my family. We lost a pretty princess in our habitat.
I regret of not seeing her for years, and she didn't even manage to say good bye to anyone and she left.

That is another reminder... don't take life for granted... even we think we r young!

Live life to the full... tell the one u love.. ' I love u'... before it is too late.

here u come.. for people living in such a 'chemicle' environment... food for thought... i m putting up alot of weight.. and I havent been very healthy lately.. so i guess this help u all too..

Foods That Fight Fat

Nov 05 05:07pm

Fibre fills you up then slims you down. Check out these tips to make your diet more fibre-friendly.

Protein, carbohydrates and fat hold most of the diet industry's attention, but it's becoming clear that fibre should be the fourth leg on the dietary table.

Studies show that fibre not only helps lower your risk of cancer, heart attack and high blood pressure, but also keeps you full and helps decrease kilojoule consumption. Follow the tips below to sneak a little more fibre into your day.

Breakfast

Top your favourite cereal with slices of banana, or stir them into a cup of yoghurt. One cup of sliced banana delivers an extra 3.9g of fibre.

Buy spreadable fibre, like almond butter, for your wholemeal toast. Two tablespoons add 2g of fibre, along with a healthy dose of heart-protecting fats and vitamins such as E.

Have a Milo Breakfast Smoothie. Stir the chocolately powder into a glass of skim milk to boost your fibre count by 6.6g.

Lunch

Shower your pizza with dried oregano or basil. Not only will your vegorama supreme taste sensational, but three teaspoons of either herb adds 1g of fibre. Top with mushrooms and you'll get 1g more.

Don't like wholemeal? Make sandwiches on rye. One slice has nearly 2g of fibre - twice as much as white bread.

Toss half a cup chickpeas into your soup. They'll absorb the flavour of the soup and tack 6g of fibre onto your bottom line.

Afternoon

Pop a pack of light popcorn instead of a bag of potato chips. There's around 8g of fibre in every bag of popcorn.

Graze on dried fruit and nuts instead of a muesli bar. Most muesli bars have less fibre than the 3g in a mixed bag of dried fruit and nuts, sometimes called trail mix in shops.

Whip up a hot chocolate using cocoa powder instead of having another cup of coffee. Most cocoa powders have as much as 3g of fibre per tablespoon.

Dinner

Swap standard spuds for sweet potatoes, which have 2g more fibre per spud. Not a fan? At least eat the skin of regular potatoes for 1g of fibre.

Go wild when you make rice. Cup for cup, wild rice has three times the fibre of white.

Cook broccoli, cauliflower and carrots for 3 to 5g of fibre per serve - twice as much as what you'll get from eating them raw.

Add some spinach to your pasta sauce. Half a cup of frozen spinach will pad your fibre count by more than 2g.

Dessert

Say nuts to chocolate bars. Bars with almonds have about 2g of fibre - almost twice the fibre content of bars without.

Top a bowl of ice-cream with fresh berries. Half a cup of raspberries has 4g of fibre; strawberries and blueberries provide half that amount.

Reach for a slice of apple or berry pie for a 3 to 5g dose of fibre. Cake doesn't have nearly as much.
